About R'aina
As the director and choreographer of Meridian Dance Company, R’aina has been responsible for the monthly hafleh performances at Minas in Hampden since we began in 2005. She teaches the open session belly dance class, Wednesday night at Homewood Friends Meeting House.
R’aina is Lebanese by heritage, originally from PA. She went to a Maronite Catholic church, with a priest from Lebanon and belly dancers at church festivals and events. Her culture and family have always been influenced by Middle Eastern dance. She was initially inspired to start dancing by her Lebanese priest who insisted that too many families loose old traditions when they become established outside of Lebanon.mailto:Kaleelah@BaltimoreBellyDance.comhttp://www.meridiandance.com/http://www.meridiandance.com/Welcome.htmlshapeimage_2_link_0shapeimage_2_link_1shapeimage_2_link_2
